Wilson Creek is on the BNSF mainline from Chicago to Seattle. There is siding access available for freight.

Wilson Creek is centrally located. The town center is 27 miles from Moses Lake and I-90. Quincy, new home of Microsoft and Yahoo!, is less than 50 miles away.
Wilson Creek offers many recreational opportunities in the town and nearby. These include historic walking and bike path. It has a skate park, community park, national register listed bank building with museum and century old homes. There are hunting, fishing, boating, and skiing available close by.
